We are excited to invite the ATC Community to in-person events! Please note that we are doing everything we can to make sure our community is safe and healthy. We will always put your health first. With that in mind, we will abide by board-approved in-person event policies listed below. You may also download a plain PDF version here. We can't wait to see you in-person again soon!

Conscious interoffice communication is more important than ever. Are you able to you rein in your own emotions before and while speaking to others? Do you know how to adjust your message to match your audience? Do you know the personality styles of your peers, direct reports and your leader? Are you able to lead a conversation about social injustice without loosing control?

However, while mindfulness is receiving a lot of press, an expansion of the working from home environment has also made conscious communication more challenging.

  • Do you give others your undivided attention? Or do you multitask when others are speaking?
  • Do you turn off your video feed, depriving others of non-verbal clues?
  • Have you recorded yourself and examined your motions from the viewer’s perspective?

Join us to learn the basics of mindful communication and how to make adjustments for a WFH world.

We're thrilled to welcome Carolyn Jenkins from EPSoft as the facilitator for this Women in Tech discussion. Carolyn Treviño Jenkins has more than 20 years of strategic leadership experience, serving in various executive roles throughout her career, including COO, CEO, strategic advisor and board contributor for several companies within the tech sector. As the co-founder of four technology start-ups—with three successful exits and one still in operation—Ms. Jenkins’ experience runs deep and wide. Today she serves as CSO and Head of the Product Division for EPSoft Technologies, where she’s responsible for creating and executing the strategic vision of the organization.

Ms. Jenkins’ extensive leadership experience has given her a unique perspective and a wealth of personal knowledge, much of it gained from her experience as a visionary who has worked across a multitude of departments and organizations. Ms. Jenkins also has a varied range of practical experience, having successfully guided companies through mergers and acquisitions, rapid growth, and economic downturns.

At EPSoft Technologies, a global software company that creates end-to-end business process automation tools, Ms. Jenkins oversees the company’s strategic vision and is responsible for guiding its key performance indicators.

In addition to her work as EPSoft CSO and Head of the Product Division, Ms. Jenkins also serves as a strategic advisor for Biomedical Music Solutions, sits on multiple boards, works as a mentor for multiple incubators across universities and professional companies, and volunteers for Central Texas Food Bank and various startup organizations.
